Note; this is his fourteen-year-old self. At twenty-four he's gotten better.
But a quick overview.
Reflexes and Observation: Yamamoto dedicates a lot of time to baseball, and spends a lot of time training his reflexes. He’s naturally athletic and has an amazing capacity for learning visually. Yamamoto is very good at applying himself to his studies and was able to learn his sword style from his father from only seeing each stance once. He’s very dedicated to his improvement, quick to move, quick to act, and has great instincts. Yamamoto makes the right decisions in dire circumstances without much hesitance, and his ability to grow stronger through his training and his capacity to improve and commit himself makes him a formidable opponent. He has the aptitude to become a natural hitman.
Rain Flames: Coupled with amazing natural skill, Yamamoto also possesses Rain Flames. These flames have the attribute of Tranquility, and when used on another person Yamamoto can slow them down and/or weaken them. He often wraps his sword in these flames, so every strike will cause his enemy to slow down very slightly to put him at a greater advantage. He can also manipulate them to create a dense coverage of his flames, which can be used to detect illusions as well as make him seem incredibly fast (since the flames help to slow down whatever they touch).
Soen Shigure Ryu: Yamamoto’s undefeatable sword style. There are twelve stances in the Soen Shigure Ryu style: eight that Yamamoto was taught (four offensive and four defensive), and four he created himself (all offensive). With this sword style, he can use the water around him as a shield, or mirror. This water can also be substituted by his flames if there’s none around. Yamamoto has another sword move picked up from another swordsman called Attacco di Squalo, which uses shockwaves to temporally paralyze an opponent’s arm. This move can also be used to transfer rain flames and increase that paralysis temporarily.
Of the four stances Yamamoto created and added to Soen Shigure Ryu, one incorporates the use of his box weapons, an Akita dog named Jirou. The stance is broken into two parts, one to ‘sniff’ out opponents, and the other to strike. Also, Yamamoto has a move that combines stances one through eleven to create a tidal wave of Rain Flames that can slow down a large number of projectiles to a crawl.
Vongola Necklace of the Rain + Box Weapons Jirou and Kojirou: The Necklace of the Rain allows him to focus his flames, and will let him summon Kojirou, his swallow box weapon that he can use to spread Rain Flames. Jirou, an Akita, doesn’t do much except carrying three sword hilts that he can turn into three short swords with his Rain Flames.
Combio Forma: Ugetsu Asari’s Four Irregular Swords: using the three sword hilts Yamamoto creates three blades and holds them in one hand and has Kojirou join with his sword Kintoki Shigure to form a longsword. He can also use the sword hilts as propellants, giving him some aerial advantage in combat.
Combio Forma Version X: With this both Jirou and Koujirou become katanas, and the clothes that Yamamoto’s wearing change as well. His clothing becomes a Kamishimo and a Hakama. He gains bracers on his arms, armor on his feet, and sheathes for his swords.
